I must say that having a baby with a "ghetto booty" at such a young age plus being cloth diapered makes it even harder for us to find something that will fit over or that it will cover up her rear end.
I found this pattern and i had to purchase it. It is an e-pattern.
I made a 18-24 months for Lulu and it was a bit too long and a little too wiggly around her tiny waist.
i have a terrible time sewing the crotch part of the pants, but i think i made it harder than it is since i have heard that many other sewing mamas have loved the pattern and didn't complain about it as much as i did. They actually sewed more pairs after their first try and i haven't because of my first fail.
i will try to sew it again and not topstitch the rear panel and see how that goes.
Like i said, this pair didn't come out "well" but it does the job and that is covering up the big bum Lulu has.
lol i like this pattern its so cute, she lookds adorable bending like that.. lol
ReplyDeleteI am having a looka t the rest of your site.. i love sewing (but im a beginner)
so cute! thats so sweet you made the pants for your daughter.
ReplyDeletebtw, thanks so much for your comment on my blog! im kind of sad to know that the plastic that i put in between the flannel for the nursing pads could cause some problem...thats what the online tutorial said to put in to prevent leaking. oh well, i guess i will skip the plastic next time i make it.
hi there. i love these pants. can you tell me where you got the pattern? i am searching for one like it right now and it's hard to find! xo m.
